Hatsune Miku

*sigh* Here we go again.

Miku is mostly headcanon, seeing as her actual canon (if you could call it that) doesn't have much in the way of her personality. If you think there's something wrong about my interpretation of her, tell me about it and I'll try to fix it. On the other hand, if you just wanna stroke my (and her) ego, go ahead.

I hope I did this right. This is the first time I'm playing a Vocaloid, after all.

[She's been here for over a year, now. She's known that for quite a while, has worried over it for some time now, but it hasn't really hit her until now, what with all that happened around Christmas.

And, of course, the only reason as to why she's really feeling it now is because someone's been droned. And not just anyone, mind, but someone who's near and dear to her.

She only just found out now, when she swung by Guy's house to ask him out (and show off the nifty new sword that she doesn't know how to use all that well, what is even with this town) and found his drone.

As you can tell, this discovery has pretty much rattled her.]

[Anyone at the park today may be able to hear someone singing nearby. If they track the source, they'll find Miku leaning against a tree, tears running down her face. There's also a rather large (and sharp) sword nearby, though she doesn't seem to be paying it any attention.

She's singing, after all.]

[ACTION; 1332 Benny Road]

[She heard the names of so many of those she'd known, some only in passing, others she considered as friends. "Weren't needed or wanted," the broadcast had said.

They're gone only for a few hours before Miku breaks. So many of the people she had talked to, so many of the people she became close to, gone, just like that. Why had they thought they weren't needed or wanted?

She's glad, she supposes, that at least Rin didn't do it. That she's still here, that they're still in existence, but at what cost?

She closes her eyes, and softly, she starts singing. For those who had been erased, for those who thought they weren't wanted or needed, for those who chose to fade away to keep them alive.

By the end of the song, she's crying softly. Poland and Chaplin may find her in the kitchen, in this state.]

[...okay, she does kind of need Christmas, but right now, she's rather frustrated. Mostly because she woke up this morning and found herself...well, not human, but there's definitely a lack of her Append frame, which stinks because she was starting to get used to it again, and when she checked her wardrobe, there was no Project Diva outfit in sight. It's part of the reason why she's storming down the stairs and out the door, looking rather unhappy.

A few minutes later she storms back in. Or rather, she runs back in.]

What's going on?!

Hey, is this another one? The power's out, I lost my Append frame and I can't find my outfits or my computer anywhere. [She sounds...rather depressed about the outfits.] I went through a lot to get those back! At least I still have my leeks...

[Then, forcing some cheer into her tone (because everyone needs some cheer right now, right?), she adds,]

...anyway, since it looks like another one of Mayfield's tricks, does anyone want a song and leek juice? It'll take your mind off what's going on! If you don't know where I am, just go to 1332 Benny Road and ask for Miku Hatsune.

[Miku is still reeling from the events that went before. It's particularly hard, being human and dying slowly of radiation poisoning, and for the last few days she's been trying to forget about it. She's been so engaged in other things, that the fact that there's probably something new waiting out on her doorstep for her has pretty much slipped her mind.

Until, of course, she finds it.

She stares at it for a moment, then grins and rips the package open.

That's the last thing she sees before everything goes black.]

[Oh, hey, look. There's a singing robot out on the front yard, looking rather peaceful as she sleeps. Strangely, for those of you who are familiar with Miku, it looks as if she's grown up, if just a little bit.

When she finally opens her eyes...]

...huh? Hey! I got my Append frame!

[Nice. While it's too bad she didn't get the outfit to go along with it, she still seems rather excited over this. And why shouldn't she? She's finally got something that could enable her to sing better than before, as evidenced by the fact that while her voice still has a synthetic edge to it, there's something...different about it. A little more human-sounding, perhaps?

Later on in the day, you can find Miku all around town, wearing one of five outfits:

a.) this wedding dress as she browses through the record store
b.) this schoolgirl uniform as she takes on her first shift at the Neutron Diner (come for the breakfast, stay for the singing robot)
c.) this catgirl outfit as she zips around on her second shift
d.) this costume that makes her look like a magical girl as she strolls through the park in the afternoon
e.) and this green outfit with the stockings as she practices her dancing up at Makeout Point.

...at least she's happier than she was before, huh?]

[Miku sounds...different, today. There's definitely no trace of her usual bouncy, cheery self in her voice. Instead, there's fear in her tone as she speaks, but also concern and worry. Clearly, the conversation from earlier's shaken her up.]

Ah...is everyone okay? I'm a little scared, but I think we need to stick together. If anyone wants, they can stay at my house, 1332 Benny Road. I don't really know much when it comes to fighting, but I've been learning.

And if anyone needs it, I'll sing for them. That's the best thing I can do, and I hope it'll make you feel better. [Of course it won't do much, but hey, she's got to do something.]

[filtered to Guy]

...you okay?

[The dead have risen from their graves...and with them is a certain singing robot. Who is not sure over what happened and why she's wearing something straight out of a bad movie, or why she really wants to stalk people and carry them off (especially her loved ones), but hey, let's just roll with it.

And since it's Halloween, a few scary songs would help set the mood as well...

So, enjoy being stalked and possibly carried off by a singing robot vampire! No, seriously, she's singing something while stalking people. She'll switch to this song once she's done with the first one, and once she's done with that one, she'll be singing this. Hope you weren't planning on sleeping tonight.]

[ACTION, around town]

[Hey, everyone! Miku's walking down the sidewalk, smiling brightly and wearing a...

...well, this is odd. She's wearing something other than her Project Diva outfits for once: a striped dress that doesn't show any skin, plus it clashes horribly with her hair. Not only that, but she's smiling a little too brightly.

Oh, good morning, there! Or at least... [she giggles. It's a sinister one that reeks of evil.] It is for me!

[Yes, the clone is here. She shall crush your dreams under her heel and enjoy it. And you can do nothing to stop her, since she'll be everywhere today. At the park, at school, at her job in the Neutron Diner, at her house, wandering around town, busting down doors, everywhere. My advice: Stay home and pray you don't meet her.]

[ACTION, park]

[Oh, hey, look, what's this? It's two Mikus, out on the front yard. One is still wearing the horrid dress while the other is...well...wearing this.

And they're engaged in an argument.]

Oh! Well, hello there! Such a pleasant afternoon, right?

Pleasant?! Who are you and why do you look like me?! And what did you do, anyway?!

Nothing, nothing...sit down, have a cup of tea, dearie. It'll help calm your nerves.

I don't want tea right now, I want to know who you are! And why are you wearing that dress, anyway, I have plenty of outfits that aren't from the fifties!

Oh my... [giggle] Well, they were too skimpy, so I had to. Besides, I didn't even want any of your tacky clothes.

T-Tacky?! Why, you--

[Someone break up this fight before the real Miku gets even angrier and leekslaps her double into oblivion.]

[For the past few days, Miku seemed a lot more cheerful than usual. It was pretty obvious that something happened at homecoming, from the way she hummed happily under her breath to the way her steps were bouncier than ever before. At some point, she was going to tell Vince-san about exactly what had happened, and today was supposed to be the day she mustered up the courage to tell him.

...well, when she woke up that morning, he had been droned. And there was nothing of his left--not even the silly little version of Vince that she'd grown so used to seeing around.

She's...not so happy now.]

[There's a slight sniffle when the phone call begins, like Miku's been crying her eyes out. It becomes incredibly obvious, when she speaks with a tired tone very much unlike her usual cheery one, that in a way, she has.]

Hey...to anyone that knew Vince Noir-san, he's...gone home. I...I'm the only one left in my house.

[She sobs softly before continuing.]

...what do I do now?

[If anyone wants to talk to Miku after her phone call, they can find her at the park, leaning underneath a tree and singing softly to herself.]
